ROLE DESCRIPTION
As a Customer Service Representative with Garion Bunn - State Farm Agent, you will generate the kind of exceptional customer experiences that reinforce the growth of a successful insurance business. Your attention to detail, customer service skills, and desire to help people make you an ideal fit. You will enhance your career while resolving customer inquiries, coordinating with other agent team members, and anticipating the needs of the community members you support.

This is a part-time, in-office position, Monday through Friday, from 1:00 PM to 5:00 PM, at our Fuquay-Varina location.


We're looking for someone dependable, personable, and organized who enjoys helping customers, takes ownership of responsibilities, and follows through on commitments.

While customer service is the primary responsibility, you'll also have opportunities to identify additional insurance needs and connect customers with the appropriate team member.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Answer incoming customer calls and assist walk-in customers professionally.

  • Assist customers with billing questions, payments, and available payment options.

  • Help with routine policy requests, including vehicle changes, contact updates, and proof of insurance, within applicable licensing and authorization requirements.

  • Maintain accurate customer records and document interactions.

  • Follow up on outstanding customer requests and ensure timely resolution or appropriate handoff.

  • Provide basic claims direction and connect customers with the appropriate claims resources.

  • Identify opportunities to help customers with additional insurance needs.

  • Refer sales opportunities to licensed team members or assist with quoting and sales when properly licensed and authorized.

  • Collaborate with team members to deliver a consistent, positive customer experience.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Dependable, punctual, and able to work the required afternoon schedule.

  • Strong customer service, communication, and interpersonal skills.

  • Detail-oriented, organized, and comfortable managing multiple responsibilities.

  • Comfortable answering phones and learning new computer systems.

  • Willing to receive coaching, follow established procedures, and take ownership of assigned tasks.

  • Previous customer service experience preferred.

  • Insurance experience and an active North Carolina Property & Casualty license preferred.

  • Willingness to obtain required insurance licensing if necessary for assigned responsibilities.

  • Ability to work in person in Fuquay-Varina, NC.

Compensation $15–$18 per hour, based on qualifications and experience.
Compensation $15.00 - $18.00 per hour
